Friends of Jupiter Beach

Here in Jupiter, everyone is welcome at the beach. From sea turtles that nestle along our shores to surfers, runners and of course, our furry friends! We take pride in the environmentally clean and dog-friendly beach that is kept that way thanks to the Friends of Jupiter Beach.

A Haven for Dogs

What started as a group of concerned citizens attempting to halt the closure of the last dog-friendly beach for miles, has turned into a thriving grassroots volunteer-driven, not-for-profit group dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness of the beach and a welcome haven for our furry friends.

The Friends of Jupiter Beach organize monthly beach clean-ups on the first Saturday of every month. Since its inception in 2006, they have cleared over 39 tons of garbage from our beautiful coastline! This dedication to preserving the natural beauty of the area is what makes Jupiter residents so special.

Dedication to the Cause

Working as stewards for our environment, the FJB is dedicated to maintaining a harmonious beach for dog lovers and non-pet owners alike. Along with the monthly beach cleanups, volunteers maintain 29 dog bag boxes along the 2.5-mile stretch of the beach and refill them regularly, dispensing over 400,000 dog bags for free use!

The goal of the 5,000-strong members, friends and sponsors for the Friends of Jupiter Beach is to keep the beach clean and dog-friendly for years to come. By practicing good etiquette, we can all do our part to keep the beaches we love pristine for everyone that visits.
